Barry Edwards

Barry is a director and theatre maker and his performances have been seen at many international theatres, sites and arts venues. He is also well known for his teaching and training projects which have taken place all over the world.

He is director of his own company Optik, and until this year led the theatre enterprise network Performance Initiative supporting grass roots production and company development. Over the past three years he has directed a series of new plays for ScenePool, most recently Steve Lambert’s Little Deaths which was produced in Bristol and London to outstanding reviews.
